FUT and FUE

Combination of FUT and FUE

Combination of FUT and FUE is a combination of both techniques in one hair transplant procedure. This method is particularly useful in cases of large degrees of hair loss (Class V-VII) as it allows for the better exploitation of the donor area and the extraction of large amounts of grafts. Together with Dr. Robert True and Dr. Marcio Crisostomo, Dr. Akaki Tsilosani is a pioneer of this method. Dr. Tsilosani performed the very first combination of FUT and FUE in 2006. The main advantage of this technique is that by combining both FUE and FUT techniques, we can get much more grafts from the donor area than using only FUE or FUT, avoiding depletion of the donor area or its excessive scarring.
